Overview

This is a story about an alien from Planet Rock who suddenly arrives on Planet Earth - in Chloe's and Christopher's garden to be exact! He goes to visit their new school where he gets up to all sorts of mischief! But then they go on an excursion to the zoo. The alien is not happy and so he invites Chloe and Christopher to Planet Rock to see how things are there. This is a story about friendship, being inclusive, having and sharing opinions, and caring for animals. There are also four fun and engaging activities for your reader to complete in order to check and reinforce comprehension and learning. This is the third read-aloud book in 'Sounds make Words make Stories' Series 3. This is a structured reading program that introduces sound groups in a systematic and uncluttered way. It builds confidence and capability in your new reader by only focusing on new sounds together with those already learned. The program contains self-reader books as well as read-aloud story books. 'Alien Adventures' acts as a back drop to introduce the characters from the self-reader books in series 3 and series 3+, books 6 through 9. This program has had success with young readers, stubborn readers, readers with learning difficulties and readers with English as a second language.
