Alice in Nether Land traces the desperate journey of survival for Alice, a Jewish child in World War II France. Alice was my friend, but I never knew about her childhood until she told me about living on garbage soup. Once I learned her story, I felt compelled to write it. Author Information

Author Dr. Carol Kasser is a retired college English professor and chaplain. As Bubbie the Book Lady, she writes for children from pre-kindergarten to middle school and presents programs in schools, camps, and libraries. She is the author of numerous books, and has published in Highlights and Highlights High Five. She also hosted a radio show for children, Bubbie's World. Her seven grandchildren are her main inspirations, fans and critics.
