Ali the Great, Swimming Champ

Overview

Ali is excited to show off his swimming skills to his little brother, Fateh. But when they get to the pool, Ali realizes he has forgotten a few things. To make matters worse, Fateh is taking to the water like a fish! Ali's pride is hurt, but it turns out that little Fateh still needs his big brother after all. Ali the Great, by Yasmin author Saadia Faruqi, is a charming chapter book series about Pakistani American second grader Ali Tahir. Ali's big ideas will resonate with young readers who believe that every problem has a creative solution--you just have to find it!
