Nevio Benvenuto is Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Padova, Italy. His research interests include voice and data communications, digital radio, and signal processing. As well as publishing in journals including Electronics Letters, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, he is also an Editor for Modulation/Detection, published by the IEEE Communications Society. Giovanni Cherubini is an IBM Research Staff Member at the Zurich Research Laboratory, Zurich, Switzerland. He is a fellow with IEEE.
