A leading journal in the field of Arabic language and linguistics Founded initially as An-Nashra in 1967, Al-'Arabiyya is the annual journal of the American Association of Teachers of Arabic, serving scholars in the United States and abroad. Al-'Arabiyya publishes scholarly and pedagogical articles and reviews that contribute to the advancement of study, criticism, research, and teaching in the fields of Arabic language, literature, and linguistics. Mohammad T. Alhawary is a professor of Arabic linguistics and second language acquisition at the University of Michigan. He is the editor of the Journal of Arabic Linguistics Tradition and author of many works, including Modern Standard Arabic Grammar: A Learner's Guide; Arabic Grammar in Context; and Arabic Second Language Acquisition of Morphosyntax.
