He has served the airport industry for more than two decades as a both practitioner for the Chicago Department of Aviation (managers of O'Hare & Midway International Airports) and several aviation consultancies and as an academic at Indiana State University prior to assuming his current position. He has taught an airport finance class to undergraduate students each year for the past 14 years. Mario Rodriguez is an award winning aviation expert and currently the Executive Director of The Long Beach Airport. With 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, Rodriguez has overseen airports everywhere from Kuwait, Palm Beach, New Orleans and Long Beach.
