Author Information

Altuğ Günar is an Associate Professor of European Union Politics and International Relations at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. Dr. Günar received a BSc in political science and international relations from Yeditepe University (YTÜ-Türkiye), an MSc in European Union politics and international relations from Kocaeli University, and PhD in European Union studies from Istanbul University. Since 2019, Dr Günar has been the head of the Department of European Union Politics and International Relations and Director of the Mediterranean Policy Applications and Research Center. He has numerous academic works, including articles, book chapters, books and book editorials in the field of the European Union politics, and economy. His main research areas are the European Union studies, International Relations and Economics, and Schumpeterian Economics. Dr Gunar is currently the Director of the Mediterranean Policy Applications and Research Center, Lecturer in the Department of International Relations, and head of the Department of the European Union Politics and International Relations. His most recent book is entitled “Economic and Political Consequences of AI: Managing Creative Destruction”, Green Transition in Europe: Strategies, Regulations and Instruments”, “Creative Destruction, Crisis, and European Union: The 2008 Crisis within the Framework of the Schumpeterian Approach European Union and Globalization” and “Future of The European Union Integration: A Failure or A Success? Future Expectations”. Dr Günar takes an active part in one Jean Monnet Module project as a researcher, and he served as a trainer in European Union literacy-expertise training organized by Konrad Adenauer at the national level and has participated as a speaker in numerous programs. Dr. Didem Saygın is an Associate Professor and member of the Department of Public Administration, Biga Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She completed her PhD in European Union at Istanbul University. From 2012 to 2013, she was a PhD researcher at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. She has several studies in the field of the European Parliament, The European Union-Türkiye Relations, Regional Development Agencies in the European Union, European Union law and Decision Making. Çağatay Başarır works as a Professor at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, International Trade and Logistics Department. He has studies on financial markets, stock exchange markets, commodity markets and precious metals in the field of time series analyses, multi-criteria decision analysis and performance measurement. He instructs financial management, financial analysis, financial markets, international finance and portfolio management lessons both in graduate and undergraduate degree.
