OverviewThis is a study that focuses on the character of Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. It is the translation of my And Then There Was Mary. You will read about Mary as a young girl. Times were tough back the for a woman, but God was with Mary all along. Read about Mary as she becomes a young adult woman. Imagine as a young woman how Mary becomes the Mother of the Messiah. There are not a lot of scriptures from Mary or dedicated to Mary, but this story shares the scriptures in the Bible about Mary. This story includes stories about the five women of grace in Jesus' genealogy: Tamar, Rahab, Bathsheba, and Mary. I translated my study because my sister asked me to. There is in the publication a list of apparitions of Mary from around the world. I wrote a short story in 2004, Single-, My First Years as a Single Mom. 113 pages. This one is about God being with Me. I was inspired by God to write about the women of the Bible. I plan to continue publishing about the women, quoting scriptures about women all the way to the book of Revelation. And I am not done yet! I started teaching in 1974. Now I am proud to include this publication: Make Them Famous Women of the Bible to my series. I pray I may reach all Christians. I just want to share the scriptures found throughout the Bible on women who I think made a difference in the history of the Bible. We can inspire others to think about these scriptures. I love retirement! Retired in 2012 from Asian Studies Academy in Hartford, CT. I love writing. It is by divine inspiration that I find writing about the Women of the Bible a true blessing. After participating in several Bible studies now I write my thoughts about those studies. Enjoy. I studied at the University of CT where I lived most of my adult life. I did get involved in writing a curriculum for History with University of Connecticut and the Hartford Humanities Society. And years later, I also was involved in a consortium to develop a curriculum to teach our students Mandarin. We turned the public school I was working at into Asian Studies Academy in Hartford, Connecticut. The students were taught Mandarin. We created activities related to the culture and language of China. I spent a month in China, mostly Beijing. with a small core group of teachers and consultants.
