Author Information

Connie Clyburn has been known to climb a mountainside for a story. It's true! Her writing career began as a newspaper reporter in her native East Tennessee, before traveling into the coal country of Kentucky to work at weekly newspapers there. Soon enough, her dream of authoring books came true with the release of her first children's book, Willy the Silly-Haired Snowman's Great Adventure. She also coauthored the e-devotional, Peace and Promise During a Crisis. Her ability to see the ""funny"" in most every situation led her to develop her brand, Wisdom from the Doublewide. You'll most likely find Connie, with coffee in hand and cowboy boots on her feet, writing in her home office, Tenasi Road Studio, or enjoying laughs and good food with close friends at a favorite restaurant. She also enjoys using her amateur detective skills to help the heroine solve a mystery in the latest whodunit movie - when she's not out chasing sunsets. She is also an award-winning writer whose articles have appeared in newspapers, magazines and on the web. Read about her musings on life through her blog featured on the website, Wisdom from the Doublewide. If you place Cynthia A. Lovely by the ocean, a lake, on the sound or bayside, she will end up writing all day. Something about being near a beautiful body of water inspires and energizes her. This inspiration has resulted in over sixty articles and stories in magazines, newspapers, and anthologies including several Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Her Christmas stories generated book signings in Saratoga Springs, as part of Victorian Street Walk where she enjoyed dressing in full Victorian attire. She also signed books at Inn Victoria in Chester, Vermont with a surprise interview and article in the Vermont Journal. But the best experience was a story from My Amazing Mom with a full article in the Gazette honoring her precious mother on Mother's Day.Cynthia loves words! She lives in the country and finds ideas all around her from the fox chasing a rooster down her walkway to surviving fierce winter storms with over 3 feet of snow. She is co-author of the devotional e-book, Peace and Promise During a Crisis and has written for Pandemic Moments by Yvonne Lehman. Stepping out of her comfort zone, she accepted and now enjoys speaking engagements with women's groups and even a writing workshop at the local library. If not sitting by the water, she may be found playing piano/sax duets with her husband, creating theme songs for the latest church musical, or facing the challenges of being a minister's wife, in upstate New York. She is an avid reader, writer, and musician and is forever grateful for the God-gift of her husband, along with the gain of a ""lovely""signature. Michelle Medlock Adams is a New York Times best-selling ghostwriter and an award-winning journalist, earning top honors from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Hoosier State Press Association to name a few.Author of over 100 books with over 3 million books sold, Michelle has won more than 90 industry awards for her own journalistic endeavors, including the prestigious Golden Scroll for Best Children's Book in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2018 for Our God is Bigger Than That!, Dachshund Through the Snow, Cuddle-Up Prayers, How Much Does God Love You?, Dinosaur Devotions, and My First Day of School. And, over the past three years, she has added several first-place honors from the Christian Market Book Awards, the Selah Book Awards, the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards, and the Illumination Book Awards in multiple categories.Since graduating with a journalism degree from Indiana University, Michelle has written more than 1,700 articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites; acted as a stringer for the Associated Press; written for a worldwide ministry; hosted ""Joy In Our Town"" TV show for the Trinity Broadcasting Network; blogged twice weekly for Guideposts; written a weekly column for a Midwest newspaper; founded and served as president of Platinum Literary Services; and served as an adjunct professor at Taylor University. Today, she is Chairman of the Board of Advisors for Serious Writer, Inc.; owner and editor of her very own children's book imprint ""Wren & Bear Books""-a division of End Game Press; and a much sought-after speaker at professional writing conferences and women's retreats all over the United States. When not working on her own assignments, Michelle ghostwrites articles, blog posts, and books for celebrities, politicians, and some of today's most effective and popular ministers.Michelle is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeff, and they have two daughters, Abby and Allyson, two sons-in-law, and six adorable grandchildren. She and Jeff share their home in Southern Indiana with two diva dachshunds, a rescue Poodle/Shepherd mix, and two spoiled kitties. When not writing or teaching writing, Michelle enjoys bass fishing, cheering on Indiana University sports teams, watching Doris Day movies, and all things leopard print.
