Author Information

Erich Gimpel was recruited by the Third Reich to spy on America. He was caught in New York in January 1945 and sentenced to hang but was given a last-minute reprieve. He served ten years in the Fort Leavenworth and Alcatraz prisons then returned home to Germany where he wrote his memoir. Simon Vance is an award-winning actor and an AudioFile Golden Voice with over fifty Earphones Awards and thirteen prestigious Audie Awards. He was named Booklist's very first Voice of Choice in 2008 and an AudioFile Best Voice of 2009.
