1987. Erie, Pennsylvania. The final task was designed for students to implement a routine procedure: perform a paranormal investigation utilizing their knowledge from course material. The Parliament of Owls Metaphysical Institute, founded and operated by Dick Draven, chose recently decommissioned Shady Grove Asylum as the practicum location. Ranked number six in the top ten most haunted places in the United States, the asylum guaranteed that visitors would experience supernatural activity. Initially, the professors and students deciphered disturbing connections between former patients, employees, and the deceptive childrens cemetery in the synagogue courtyard. After they uncover a secret occult library and a mysterious red door, the paranormal investigation becomes a fight for survival and escape as a labyrinth of phantasms feed on personal fears and a gate to the netherworld is opened.
