Reviews

"In this brilliant book, David does not shy away from any aspect of truth, and despite the solemnity of the subject matter, it is full of life and hope. I would highly recommend it for all, Christian and non-Christian alike. -Tak Bhana, Senior Pastor, Church Unlimited, NZ David and Greta's confession that ""God is good"", even in their time of loss and sadness, combined with an eternal hope that goes beyond this life, shows how faith can prevail even in the greatest of storms. -James Glass, Senior Pastor, Glasgow Elim Church; National Leadership Team, Elim Pentecostal Churches, UK David's timely book blends personal experience, prophetic insight, and sound theology in a way that comforts, encourages and challenges. -Paul Bennetts, Founding Pastor, Life Church, Christchurch, NZ David is one of the most solid, anointed prophetic teachers I know. In this book, he and his wife Greta lay out a sound biblical understanding on life after death and what God has promised for believers. They have walked the journey that no married person ever wants to face - the loss of a spouse. Afterlife made me weep for their journey and laugh with joy at the display of God's goodness as they walked through grief into wholeness again. This book is a must for anyone who has recently lost a loved one and gives both in-depth understanding and hope that God has provided the way to a glorious eternity. - Lynley Allan, Pastor, Catch the Fire, Auckland, NZ In their latest book, David and Greta Peters remind us of the reality of eternity, something that we need in an increasingly uncertain world. Laying a biblical foundation, and drawing on their own experience, they help us to see the profound importance of heaven and the eternal realm, not just as something in the distant future, but as a reality now. Interweaving biblical teaching with their own life stories, they also testify to how God comforts us in times of grief. For many Christians, especially those in the charismatic world, sudden tragedy or the healing that never comes in this life can become a serious blow to faith. David and Greta's confession that ""God is good"", even in their time of loss and sadness, combined with an eternal hope that goes beyond the pain and disappointment of this life, shows us how faith can prevail even in the greatest of storms. -James Glass, Senior Pastor, Glasgow Elim Church; National Leadership Team, Elim Pentecostal Churches, UK Afterlife begins with an engaging story of life, love and loss, then continues to discuss grief, gratitude and God. Anyone cannot help but empathise with David and Greta's story. Non-Christians could gain much by reading this as it opens a dimension of life they will not encounter in the world. David goes on to on address topics concerning life beyond death that puzzle many people. Each topic is addressed positively with a sound biblical basis and should fill every Christian with hope. More than that: it should convince readers who are not yet Christians to receive the salvation of Jesus Christ and his gift of eternal life. Many other books deal with just a few of the issues of the afterlife, rather than all of them as this book so ably does. - R Errol Francis, author of ""Lord Jesus Revive Us and Return to Us"", Auckland, NZ"

He subsequently joined the pastoral staff of Auckland City Elim Church, but resigned three years later to become caregiver for Jane who had become disabled with multiple sclerosis. In 2003 he and Jane commenced an itinerant prophetic / teaching ministry within New Zealand. Jane passed away in 2007. David later married Greta, and they have five sons between them. After completing her B.Sc. She lectured at UCT until the birth of her two sons. Early in their marriage, she and her first husband Ron studied extramurally with the Theological College of South Africa and were involved in youth ministry at the Assemblies of God Churches in Cape Town. Greta also worked in children's ministry for many years. 221In 1997 the family immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand where Ron passed away in early 2008. Greta ran her physiotherapy practice until late 2008 when she married David. Together with David, she helped found SpiritLife Ministries, and exercises a strong prophetic ministry in their travels.
