OverviewAfter the Tsunami tells the story of Indonesian college graduate students who came to US universities on scholarships following the 2004 tsunami that killed 173,000 in Banda Aceh. Former presidents Bill Clinton and George H W Bush championed the programme, intended to help rebuild the human capital in Aceh Provence. Approximately 75 students participated, and most obtained advanced degrees from the University of Arkansas and Texas A&M. They are now back in Banda Aceh, working in jobs ranging from government, private business, education and agriculture. The documentary was filmed in Arkansas, Texas and Indonesia.
