Author Information

Patricia Dixon, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of African American Studies at Georgia State University. Prior to this position, she served as visiting lecturer at the University of Massachusetts at Boston. She is past executive director of the National Council for Black Studies and founder and director of the National African American Relationships Institute (NAARI). Dr. Dixon has been an invited speaker and presenter at several conferences, has served on several boards, and has been a featured guest on radio and television talk shows
