From 1986-2002, he was deputy head of Medical Hospital at Rome ""La Sapienza"" University, department of Plastic surgery. Since June 2002, he is Chief of the Plastic surgery department of the National Institute for cancer ""Regina Elena"" in Rome. He is also Chief ""ad interim""of Dermatological and Regenerative Plastic Surgery, S. Gallicano Institute, Rome. He is a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery and completed his medical training in the United Kingdom, where he worked at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, the General Hospital in Brighton, Kent and Sussex Hospital in Canterbury, and Saint Bart`s Hospital in Rochester. He pursued further training in plastic surgery at Mountain View Hospital in Camino Real, California (USA); Clinique Spontini in Paris (France); and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).
