OverviewIn 1935, the logistical preparation for the Ethiopian War was the occasion for an ambitious scientific and construction experiment with reinforced concrete in extreme conditions. At a construction site shaped by the military organization of labor, concealed by the action of fascist propaganda, two Italian engineers developed new theories on the behavior of reinforced concrete structures in a tropical climate and invented specific, low-tech construction techniques.
