Author Information

I was raised in Oakwood Hills, IL, and when I was a child, my dad would make little treasure hunts for the family to find presents. No matter our ages, we loved finding the clues to lead us to where the present was hidden. I moved to Marquette, MI to go to Northern Michigan University where I met my husband, Luke. We now have 2 beautiful boys, Eero and Axon. Unfortunately, my dad passed away before ever getting to meet them, and while we were living in Alaska, I remembered the treasure hunts he put on for us and how much fun they were. I started making little hunts just around our house, and the kids and neighbors just loved them. We then moved back to Marquette to be by family, where our treasure hunts grew into quests. We now use homemade maps, rhyming clues, and walk up to 3 miles through the woods to find the treasure. One day my husband said, ""Why don't you turn these into a book!?"" After much convincing, here we are! My goal is to also encourage kids to get away from technology and video games, and to go have fun exploring the great outdoors.
