Author Information

Nathan Maher was born in Des Moines, IA and grew up in West Burlington, IA. They started writing at a young age, even attending multiple writing conferences and Creative Writing Workshops. They graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in English Literature, with emphasis in Classics and Creative Writing in 2005. They have been self-publishing since 2010, with several fiction titles and tabletop roleplaying games. In 2017, they won the Royal Dragonfly Book Award in Middle Grade Fiction for ""Lights Out - Book 1"". In March 2020, they started their own bookstore called NRM Books, which focuses on spooky and pop culture fiction, tabletop roleplaying games and graphic novels. They love reading, writing, traveling, watching & dancing ballet, attending conventions and spending time with their family and friends.
