Author Information

Michael A. Gass, PhD, is a Professor and Coordinator of the Outdoor Education Program in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire. He is the current Director of the NATSP and OBHRC Research Initiatives and is the recipient of numerous awards for teaching Lee Gillis, PhD, is Professor and Chair of Psychological Science at Georgia College and State University, USA, and a licensed psychologist. In addition to teaching, he has researched and practiced adventure therapy since the early 1980s and is recognized nationally and internationally for his contributions to the field Keith C. Russell, PhD, is an associate professor in the Recreation Program at Western Washington University. Dr. Russell's publications focus on the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational and therapeutic programs for youth. His research has appeared in the Journal of Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice, the Journal of Groups in Addictions and Recovery, Child and Youth Care Forum, The International Journal of Wilderness, The Journal of Experiential Education, and the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Learning
