J. M. Holmes was born and raised in Canada and educated in the Classics by Jesuits and nuns. Renaissance polymath, amateur beekeeper, film historian, long-distance bicyclist, author, computer whisperer, and the one person who knows how to fix all the world's problems, Holmes delights in confounding expectations and ascribes to multiple, often contradictory life philosophies. Especially proud of daughter Sarah and son Alex, Holmes considers everything else in an admittedly long and highly rewarding life as mere dross, with the notable exception of the six cats in the household. Holmes enthusiastically agrees with the philosophy that time spent with cats is never wasted. Francesco La Cerva was born more than half a century ago in Palermo on the beautiful island of Sicily, where he lives to this day. A childhood immersed in films, cartoons, books and comics inspired him to bring to life drawing - first on the walls of his house, and eventually on sheets of paper - the fantastic characters and worlds of fantasy and science fiction. Today Francesco supports his family, including three children, by working as an established architect. But between his daily commitments designing houses and other buildings, he still feeds his soul with a regular diet of books, comics, cartoons, and film.
