OverviewPsychosocial care is critical to supporting the adjustment, coping, and quality of life of children and families from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and into survivorship or through end-of-life care and bereavement. Now a standard of care in pediatric oncology, psychosocial support is considered essential for all children and families. Interprofessional team members collaborate on assessment, intervention, education, and research to advance the science and practice of pediatric psycho-oncology.
