Author Information

Prof. Sankara Sarma V. Tatiparti is  a professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai. He obtained his B. Tech in metallurgical engineering from IIT Madras, Chennai and M.Tech in metallurgical engineering and materials science from IIT Bombay, Mumbai. He secured his Ph.D. from the University of Florida, Gainesville and moved to Utrecht University for his postdoctoral research. He returned to India after his postdoctoral research and worked as Research Scientist at General Motors following which he joined as faculty at IIT Bombay in 2012. His research areas are materials for hydrogen storage, supercapacitors and electrodeposition. He has published more than 40 papers in respected international journals and conferences.   Prof. Srinivas Seethamraju is an associate Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai. He obtained his B. Tech and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur and IIT Bombay, Mumbai, respectively. Eventually, he worked at GAIL (India) Limited for a few years in the operations department and also had a brief post-doctoral stint at the MIT Energy Initiative, Cambridge. Later, he joined IIT Bombay in 2014 as faculty and has published more than 30 papers in respected international journals and conferences. His areas of research include reactive distillation, conceptual design of processes, waste to energy and energy efficiency in process industry.
