Ng PhD CEng MICE MASCE FHKIE Charles W.W. Ng has published widely on the behaviour of unsaturated soils and slopes, on applications of centrifuge modelling and on the soil-structure engineering of piles, barrettes, tunnels and deep excavations. In 2005 he was elected as Overseas Fellow at Churchill College, Cambridge University. He is Professor of Civil Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where he is also Director of the Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility and Associate Dean of Engineering. Dr Bruce Menzies PhD DSc CEng FICE Bruce Menzies founded Geotechnical Digital Systems Ltd (GDS) that has supplied computer controlled soil and rock testing systems to over 500 universities and research establishments. He invented the digital pressure controller used for pressure regulation and volume change measurement in soil and rock mechanics laboratories. Over 2000 have been sold by GDS. He is a winner of the British Geotechnical Association Prize 2002. He is Chairman of GDS. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
