He received his PhD in manufacturing engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Denmark, and his MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Aalborg, Aalborg, Denmark. Dr. Zhang has supervised many research projects, including projects funded by the National Science Foundation.
