She is a teacher educator and her research areas and publications comprise the domains of adolescent psychology, psychology of learners, life-skills, and well-being. Sybil Thomas is faculty at the Department of Education, University of Mumbai, Mumbai. She has been in the field of teacher education for over two decades with a short stint of administrative experience as a Principal of a College of Education. Her doctoral study was in the area of studying attitudes of adolescence towards educated and working women. She teaches courses related to the philosophical and sociological basis of education and e-learning.
