OverviewThe Synod of Ingelheim was called by Otto I the Great, in the then church of Saint Remigius in the German city of Ingelheim. Being summoned at the behest of Pope Agapetus II. It's primary goal was to resolve a long running Schism concerning the archiepiscopal see of Reims, then under the jurisdiction of the German Emperor.
