OverviewThis book is set in the 80s AD. It is the fifth book of the New Testament, which narrates the history of the period known as the Apostolic Age. The narrative is chronological, beginning with the ascension of Jesus, the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, and the formation of the first Christian assemblies. It does not contain the history of all the apostles, but rather that of Peter and Paul of Tarsus, particularly the latter, as authorship is attributed to Luke, Paul's companion. There are also mentions of Barnabas of Cyprus, Mark (likely the first evangelist, John Mark, son of Mary), James the ""brother of the Lord,"" and James the Apostle. It is worth noting that it is one of the few books in the New Testament that mentions the Church in its early stages (the primitive church). Written by the same author as the Gospel of Luke and dedicated to the same person, Theophilus, this work describes the geography, economy, formation of the church, social customs, and religions of that time. The Greek words are taken and analyzed to find the best definition. This book complements previous studies of the Acts of the Apostles. It will be a source of information and study for the unbeliever and a teaching tool for the believer's faith. Several books and Bibles were used for this work to give the reader the best and most complete study information. It was based on the Reina Valera 1909 Bible, which is in the public domain. Some words were changed without altering the substance so that the reader can have a complete understanding. Other sources of information were also used, where the author is referenced or which are in the public domain. All of them are summarized in the bibliography section at the end.
