What happens once the marches end? ""Activism"" has become synonymous with disruption, superglue and arrest - but there is another way. Discover a new type of changemaking that builds resilience for lasting impact. Drawing on her own experiences, as well as research conducted alongside Imperial College London and Stanford University in California, Katie proposes a new type of activism for an anxious generation- one that breaks the cycle of fighting fire with fire, and is sustainable for our mental health and sense of identity as well as the planet. Follow the eight steps in this book- . Step 1- Vulnerability as strength . Step 2- Beyond identity politics- meet as humans . Step 3- Emotional permaculture- fight dragon, get the gold . Step 4- Control your narratives . Step 5- Learn to navigate burnout . Step 6- Build your resilience rucksack . Step 7- The eight types of rest . Step 8- Practice gratitude This is activism meets self-care - for young people who want to be responsible world citizens without sacrificing themselves in the process.
