Rashmi has worked extensively in Shelters & Boarding Kennels, for over fourteen years, in New Delhi, Bahrain, and New York. Both opportunities and experiences gained over the years have inspired the writing of this book. The book attempts to reach out to policy makers, law makers, politicians, and people interested in animal welfare issues so that they are encouraged and motivated to bring about changes that improve the quality of life of animals and people across the world. The book highlights welfare issues in India but the message and insights remain global. It is important that those who set and advocate standards of quality for animal welfare, not only hold themselves to the same standards, but consistently endeavor to review results of current policies so improvements can be made-because there is always room for improvement.
