Classic Rock Magazine (UK), January 2011 One of those books that actually lives up to its title, this may not be the ultimate AC/DC biography--we're still waiting for that--but is easily one of the finest books on the band published so far. Rammed to the rafters with absolutely brilliant pictures combing their entire career - many of which you absolutely will not have seen before, and almost all of which are stunningly brilliant - the design alone deserves some kind of aware for its colourful ingenuity, and the way it captures the sense of fuck-it fun that has always permeated the best of AC/DC's adventures. Collectors will also delight in the numerous previously unseen pix from all eras, and the wonderful collation of memorabilia, including original Australia-only vinyl record sleeves, tickets and posters. There are also some nicely judged essays from writers besides the estimable Sutcliffe himself. Fair dinkum, mate! Guitarist Magazine , January 2011 This tome is a beautiful visual history of an amazing band, complete with stories of their beginnings, their steady rise to fame, and the shocking loss of frontman Bon Scott. Then you get the story of the group's second career, beginning with the smash album Back in Black. You can hear the sound of those guitars in every photo.
