Overview

The number and variety of electronic resources available to libraries have increased exponentially in the past few years and their evolution has had a widespread impact on the libraries and their services. Anil Kumar Siwach is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. Prior to his present post, he has worked as Librarian at P.G. Govt. College for Girls, Sector - 42, Chandigarh. He has done M.Sc. Anthropology (Gold Medalist), M.L.I.Sc. (2-year integrated), P.G.D.C.A. and Diploma in French from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has 7 publications to his credit in the form of journal articles and book chapters. He has participated in 8 seminars/ conferences/ training programmes at various institutes. He is a life member of ILA and IATLIS. His areas of interest include Electronic Resources, Information Literacy and ICT Applications in Libraries. Seema Parmar is presently working as Assistant Librarian at Nehru Library, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar, Haryana. She has done her M.A. (English) and P.G.D.T. from Panjab University, Chandigarh and M.L.I.Sc. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She has obtained her Doctoral degree from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra on the topic User awareness and use of electronic journals in technical university libraries of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. She has published around seven articles in renowned journals and books. She has participated in many seminars/ conferences/ workshops at various institutes. Her areas of interest include IT and Electronic Resources.
