Author Information

Brian Madison Jones is Assistant Professor of History at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. He has degrees from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Ph.D. in American History from Kansas State University. He was a researcher on the A&E television program Biography - Dwight D. Eisenhower and has contributed writings to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, The Military-Industrial Complex and American Society (2010), and Encyclopedia of the Cold War: A Political, Social, and Military History (2006). He has received research grants from the University of Arizona and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch, Iowa and a teaching grant from the University of Michigan. He currently lives in Waxhaw, North Carolina with his wife, Shannon, and three Chinese Crested Hairless dogs, Joe, May, and PD.
