Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationThomas Bradbury earned his BA in psychobiology from Hamilton College, his MA in general psychology from Wake Forest University, and his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois. A Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Bradbury specializes in using observational and longitudinal methods to examine how newlywed marriages develop and change. The recipient of the American Psychology Association’s Distinguished Early Career Award, Bradbury has edited two books: The Psychology of Marriage (with Frank Fincham) and The Developmental Course of Marital Dysfunction. Each year he teaches a large undergraduate class and small honors seminars on intimate relationships, and in 2013 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Catholic University in Milan. Tom and Cindy, his wife of 30 years, have two sons, Timothy and Nicholas, and live in Los Angeles with two very large and affectionate Bernese Mountain Dogs.
