This beautiful and inspiring book weaves a tale of friendship, love, generosity of spirit and self discovery. The characters come alive in the author's words, so much so that the reader feels as if they are alive in the forest among all these friends. I highly recommend this beautiful story for all ages! As a retired librarian I plan to purchase several to donate to local libraries so it may be shared with many! Beautiful story and message. The ending was sudden and abrupt. I read this to my 11 and 8 year old girls at bedtime, one chapter a night. Abby Apple Tree is a wonderful story about relationships, loss, courage, survival, and hope. This sweet, unforgettable, intelligent tale will touch the hearts of every generation, and spark thoughtful conversations and memories years after reading it together. I highly recommend Abby Apple Tree to readers of all ages! The talented author takes you on a lovely life cycle of a young apple tree in this 6 chapter delightful book. An easy reading short story for boys and girls alike. Calendar events spur questions and answers for the young reader.
