Its fame originates from the extensive use by the United States Army during the Vietnam War, of which has become the symbol, as was the Jeep in World War II. The characteristic ""Flap Flap"" of the rotos, which announced their coming even before they are seen, gave the soldiers the certainty of the arrival of supplies, rescue or close air support. With the ""Heuy"" was developed the concept for the new era of ""utility"": a medium of performing various tasks, such as the transport of people and materials, supply, medical evacuation, covering armed troops on the ground, which added to the battlefields a vertical dimension.
