Author Information

Richard Platt is the author of Pirate Diary, which won the Kate Greenaway Medal, as well as Egyptian Diary, Castle Diary, and Roman Diary. He has written more than sixty nonfiction books for children, including A World of Information, illustrated by James Brown. Richard Platt lives in Kent, England. James Brown is an illustrator and printmaker who worked in textiles for years before turning his talents to illustrating for children. He is the author-illustrator of A World of Cities and the illustrator of A World of Information, written by Richard Platt. James Brown lives in London, England.
