I found Richard Andersen's book to be very engrossing. It's a good review of the basic tenets of Islam from the real source, the Koran. The author focuses on topics of interest to most Westerners, choosing exactly right verse translations to address each topic. He avoids personal bias, letting readers form their own opinions of the Koran and Islam. As a Moslem, I highly recommend this book -- Dr. Hyder Zahed, author Create Your Legacy
