Author Information

John Briggs is a veteran journalist and comedy writer. As a reporter, he worked a variety of beats, from hard news to features. He spent three years in national syndication and once attended the White House Correspondents Dinner. His comedy career led him to write topical material for TV, radio, and the internet, but he is best known for creating the stage show Left-Wing Laughs and its signature bits Yeehaa or Jihad and Showdown: Apocalypse. John earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Temple University and later studied creative writing at New York University. A native of Philadelphia, John was raised in the Pocono Mountains and today lives in New York's Capital District.
