A Voice of Visions

Overview

A Voice of Visions: Poetic Meditations is a collection of forty poems focused on people in the Bible who saw visions, as well as visions the author experienced after having brain surgery. Most of the poems--free verse, sestinas, villanelles, and haikus--have a biblical theme of visions, prophets, and spiritual phenomena. This poetry book is ideal for use in Bible studies, biblical literature studies, church settings, devotionals, or individual enjoyment. These thought-provoking poems are good conversation starters to get readers to envision how people might have reacted when they encountered God in unusual ways.

Reviews

""A Voice of Visions: Poetic Meditations offers a fresh perspective on biblical prophecies and the people who delivered them. It adds to our repertoire in discerning and understanding them through a poetic interpretation of the people and circumstances. Christine Kohler's writing also reminds us this walk of faith has surrounded the prophets and prophecies from the beginning. . . . The twenty-first century church can find in A Voice of Visions confidence in the prophetic gift and the works of God, as it reminds us Jesus uses broken vessels to proclaim his truth in the seen and unseen."" --From the foreword by Tim D. Ware
