OverviewAbused by his parents for a good portion of his earlier years, Nick is living in Detroit as a homeless drug addict. After almost killing himself one September night, he is found by Ivy. She herself has been alone, living in a townhouse, since she was abandoned at the age of twelve. Ivy's curiosity about Nick turns into a willingness to help him, and she allows him to stay with her. She quickly finds, as they grow closer, that the reality of addiction is anything but how she originally perceived it. Unbeknownst to her, however, as he begins to lose his grip again, the two fall victim to more danger than either could have anticipated. Ivy is forced to face the fact that sometimes, just one person isn't enough to save another if they're already too far gone. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationKaila DiMarzio is currently-as of 2016-a student living in Dahlonega, Georgia and is attending college at the University of North Georgia. Her major is biology. She enjoys reading, writing, hiking and nature exploration, and photography. A Twist in Their Story is her first novel; she was inspired to begin writing the book at the age of twelve by one of the stories that her Nana told her. Within the year, she had finished writing the first draft and had begun to re-write it in the form of a second draft, but the work load of middle school and then high school consumed too much of her time, so she was only able to sporadically work on it over a span of six years. After starting her freshman year at college, she was finally able to complete the third and final draft, edit, and publish the book within five months. She hopes to continue her writing career and author more books in the future. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
