Excerpt from A Treatise on the Law of Insurance It will be found to embrace the whole Insurance law of Canada. On fire, marine, and life insurance, every reported Canadian case is given; but as to marine and life insurance, I do not pretend that my work is complete. To these two branches of insurance law I have contributed all that is to be found in the Canadian reports. On marine insurance I have given all Canadian cases in the form of a digest; and as to life insurance, most of the cases will be found interspersed throughout the work. On fire insar rance alone I have sought to make the work complete. In addition to the Canadian cases, the work contains all English and a selection from the American cases. On this branch of insurance law I trust the work will be found more useful to the Canadian reader than any foreign production.
