Overview

November 2020, the year of the pandemic. Sitting at work during an almost non-existent clinical break one day, I sat reflecting on the inception of the pandemic. The hardships and fears, endured throughout my Nursing career during what I thought I would never experience in my life, began. It was a time when Nursing seemed more of a burden rather than a calling. During that time, there existed no focus or zeal to continue pursuing a career that was literally draining the life out of me. This was when my passion for writing had no choice but to soar. Inked in my journal, in red writing very casually, 'The Told to Series'. I took my writing journal out and began to pen what would now become reflective encounters towards my own healing journey and purpose. I promised to publish this body of work one day not knowing the initial step. Dreams definitely do come true! These seven insightful and specific encounters provide a reflective experience of childhood memories and advice that emerged throughout the year 2020.
