My name is Joel Sorrensen. I have always loved to draw and create new things. My deep love for animals and nature have help me develop new ideas and techniques. When you see a child or adult smile and laugh at something I have drawn, I think it’s the best feeling knowing that you have created a little piece of happiness. She creates work using a mix of hand drawn and digital techniques. She loves using the traditional medium of watercolour and coloured pencils, and most recently has enjoyed working digitally using Procreate. Raising her young family has rekindled her love of picture books. She is interested in capturing the playfulness and imagination of children. She finds inspiration in the little things: the everyday joys and interactions that colour our days.
