Author Information

Steve Hast was born in Los Angeles, CA, grew up on boat in the South Pacific, graduated high school in Samoa, and now lives in Northern Florida. He has been a sailboat delivery captain throughout the Pacific, the Caribbean, North, Central, and South America. In his youth he was a day sailing captain in St. Thomas, USVI, and a term charter captain in Tortola, BVI. He received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Florida State University, is an active catamaran racer, bike rider, windsurfer, and enjoys fishing the Florida bays and estuaries by kayak.
