Petersen is Franklin Nutting Parker Professor of Old Testament at the Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. His current research focuses on the book of Genesis and on prophetic literature. He has written, coauthored, or coedited numerous books and articles. He was the senior Old Testament editor for The New Interpreter's Bible and is currently the Old Testament editor for The Common English Bible. Petersen recently served as president of the Society of Biblical Literature. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. Walter Brueggemann is William Marcellus McPheeters Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, he is the author of dozens of books, including Sabbath as Resistance: Saying No to the Culture of Now, Journey to the Common Good, and Chosen? Reading the Bible amid the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Terence E. Fretheim is professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota. His many books include Creation Untamed, God and World in the Old Testament, and About the Bible. Bruce C. Birch is dean emeritus of Wesley Theological Seminary, where he served thirty-eight years as professor of Old Testament and twelve years as academic dean. His books and articles range from scholarly works to publications aimed at enriching the life of the church for clergy and laity. His PhD was earned at Yale University in 1970, and he is ordained in the United Methodist Church. He continues to write for popular and scholarly audiences from his home in Frederick, Maryland. Tom Parks is an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has also been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. He has been involved in recording audiobooks and voice-overs for over thirty years and through an eclectic range of projects.
