Reviews

""A must read for Greenwich Villagers. A vivid depiction of life, glories and warts and all, in the heart of Greenwich Village. Diane Emma's story is the unvarnished real deal."" - Donna Florio, author of Growing Up Bank Street

Author Information

Diane Emma, author of A Tale of Two Villages: My Brilliant and Broken Greenwich Village Life, was born and raised in Greenwich Village and lived there for the first 20 years of her life -- from the late 1950s to the late 1970s -- when the Village was a very different place. In 2021, after the death of her estranged mother, the author revisited her Greenwich Village youth through inherited photos, letters, and her own bittersweet recollections- thus inspiring her to create this memoir. Diane Emma lives with her husband in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and has two grown children.
