His research at Bet Dagan involves studies on systematics, biology and ecology of scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccoidea), with special emphasis on the Mediterranean fauna. He has an M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Entomology from the Faculty of Agriculture, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Ben-Dov is author and co-author of about 140 books and articles.
