Author Information

"Myles Coverdale is one of the least acknowledged English Reformers, but was one of the most hardworking, productive, and effective. He had a major hand in all three of England's Reformation Bibles - his own of 1535, the Matthew Bible, and the Great Bible. A great fruit of all his labours was that God's word filled his thought and speech, to edify and build up the reader. Ruth Magnusson Davis, a retired lawyer with a degree in languages, is the founder of Baruch House Publishing and the New Matthew Bible Project. She is a foremost authority on the 1537 Matthew Bible, an early English Bible which was the joint work of Myles Coverdale, William Tyndale, and John Rogers. The New Matthew Bible Project is dedicated to re-publishing the Matthew Bible in gently updated English, so it is understandable for readers today. In 2016, the New Testament was published under the name ""The October Testament."
