Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) are a silent epidemic among class-IV workers-those who form the backbone of healthcare infrastructure yet often remain unseen and unheard. ""A Cross-sectional Study to Assess the Pattern of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorder (WMSDs) among Class-IV Workers of Tertiary Care Centres in Central India"" sheds light on the alarming prevalence of WMSDs among support staff at major hospitals in Bhopal. Based on direct interviews with 350 workers, this study reveals that over 80% suffer from musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the lower back and legs-pain that is often compounded by poor BMI, lack of exercise, mental stress, and substance abuse. Through evidence-based insights and actionable recommendations, this book emphasizes the urgent need for ergonomic awareness, regular health monitoring, and stress reduction interventions for this essential workforce.
