Dreaming Back to the Wonders of Dunhuang, Decoding the Ancient Melodies, Reilluminating Today's Quest! 梦回敦煌之神奇，解读古之遗韵，复照今之求索！ This book reviews the journey of academic research on the Dunhuang Musical Scores since the 1930s, while comprehensively examining the development of studies on related topics such as the evolution of medieval pipa (Chinese lute), the progression of notation systems, and the material relationships of Dunhuang dance notation. The intellectual contributions made by researchers from different eras within their respective boundaries fully demonstrate the scientific value of these works. This includes some ""conventional views"" that have since been overturned, as well as numerous widely divergent perspectives. Even today, as the fervor of research has subsided, a unanimous consensus has yet to be reached. However, in reconstructing the complex academic context and the intricacies of derived issues, this work instead provides a reference for future research paths, much like ""returning light into the deep forest, shining once more upon the moss.""
